Content > Choosing a gallery type

Displaying your pictures in a Gallery is a great way to show them off. Wizz-it has a great tool which allows you to choose how you would like your galleries to be displayed in your website, you can choose from four options:

thumbnails
1) Thumbnails
This method will display a page of thumbnails on the gallery page. When a thumbnail is clicked on the picture will enlarge and the rest of the thumbnails will be dimmed. Users will be able to scroll through each picture using left and right arrows.
Scroll through
2) Scroll through
This method will display a large picture with thumbnails underneath. When a thumbnail is clicked on it will load up into the large picture area. Your images will be displayed to their exact size.
Rotate

3)Scroll Through (Flash)
This is a smooth scrolling flash anitmated gallery. It has a full size option plus a zoom effect so viewers can take a closer look at the image. Thumbnails appear along the bottom row and clicking on a thumbnail will load the picture in the large picture area.

Its similar to the Scroll Through gallery but will display all your images the same size... so its useful if you have lots of different sized images and want to keep them uniform.

Rotate

3) Rotate (Flash)
This method is useful if you want a simple and smart rotating picture display.

You can choose whether or not you want the picture numbers to be displayed along the bottom of the picture (by selecting the 'display image numbers' option). If you do have the numbers displayed, clicking on a picture number will display the current picture in that gallery.

The 'Display text on left' option is useful if you want to create a page with your content entered via the text editor on the left and then have some pictures rotating round on the right hand side of the page. This is useful if you want to spruce up a page without having to insert photos within the text.

Rotate

4) Rotating Postcard Stack (Flash)
This is useful if you want your pictures to rotate round automatically but with a bit more 'funkiness'. Images are rotated automatically with the picture title being displayed underneath in the chosen website font colour. Clicking on a picture will move it onto the next picture immediately.

Step 2:
Select the gallery you want to edit from the list or if you want to create a new one press the Add Page link.

Step 3:
On the next page you will see a setting called Gallery Type. Select the option you want from the list. If you select Rotate you will be asked if you want the image number to be displayed or not.
